Night Accident on South Bridge: Audi Driver Over 2‰, Three Injured

At about 1:40 a.m., a car crash on the South Bridge near Wilanów left three people injured when an intoxicated Audi collided with a ride‑hailing Toyota.

The accident involved an Audi and a Toyota used for ride‑hailing services, both being passenger cars.

Accident Sequence

Preliminary investigation shows the Audi driver was changing lanes and struck the Toyota. Both vehicles then slammed into energy‑absorbing barriers: the Toyota hit the barrier on one side of the road, the Audi on the opposite side.

Driver’s Condition

The Audi driver, a 36‑year‑old Polish citizen, tested with over 2‰ alcohol and was found intoxicated; blood was taken for further analysis.

Injured and Hospitalization

The Audi driver and two Toyota passengers were taken to hospital; the Toyota driver, a 26‑year‑old Zimbabwean, remained sober.

Traffic Impact

For several hours traffic toward Wawra was blocked while authorities secured the scene and cleared the wreckage.
