Warsaw City Police detained a 22‑year‑old driver on a night patrol between 3 and 4 a.m. on December 15‑16 for driving while under a court‑issued ban and lacking a licence.
Night patrol spots suspect
During a night patrol from 3 to 4 a.m. on December 15‑16, Warsaw City Police officers at the VI Territorial Battalion monitored the Pucki Coast area and intercepted a driver violating the imposed traffic ban.
Driver claims fresh exam
The 22‑year‑old identified himself with an identity card. He said he had only just passed the driving exam and was awaiting the official licence, a justification that might have worked “in older times.”
Police check electronic records
The officers queried the mObywatel system and then consulted vehicle and driver registries, finding no licence on record.
Court revokes licence
The driver admitted the exam he cited was only an internal test at a driver‑training centre, and that too he was not truthful. Police explained that a court in Pruszków had taken away his licence, so he was handed over to the patrol and taken to the station.
Potential serious penalties
He faces serious consequences for his violation.
