On Saturday, June 6, Nightskating Warsaw will host two skating events starting at the Nicolaus Copernicus Monument, causing temporary police-enforced traffic and public transport disruptions across the city center.
Two skating events scheduled
Nightskating Warsaw has organized two separate skating sessions for Saturday, June 6. The first, shorter route begins at 18:00, followed by an extremely long-distance ride starting at 22:00.
Both events will commence at the Nicolaus Copernicus Monument on Krakowskie Przedmieście. Police will provide security and halt traffic along the routes as the columns of skaters pass through streets and intersections.
Fairytale-themed short route
The first ride is an eight-kilometer route with a fairytale theme, and organizers encourage participants to wear costumes. Starting at 18:00, the course covers Krakowskie Przedmieście, Nowy Świat, Świętokrzyska, Marszałkowska, Rondo Dmowskiego, Al. Jerozolimskie, Plac Zawiszy, Towarowa, Prosta, Rondo ONZ, Al. Jana Pawła II, Al. Solidarności, Plac Bankowy, and returns via Marszałkowska, Świętokrzyska, and Nowy Świat.
Advanced long-distance challenge
The second event is an extreme 53-kilometer ride starting at 22:00. Over four hours, participants will cover a massive circuit through the city, including Trasą Łazienkowską, Wisłostradą, Wał Miedzeszyński, Trasą Toruńską, and several major bridges before returning to Krakowskie Przedmieście.
