Nine fire crews from across the Warsaw region fought a blaze in a single‑family house in Dąbrówka, just before 5 am, when a roof fragment collapsed, injuring a firefighter.
Early Morning Fire
At just before 5 am, firefighters received a call about a blaze in a single‑family house in Dąbrówka, Wołomin County. Upon arrival the first crews found the attic already engulfed and began extinguishing operations immediately.
Emergency Response
All occupants had evacuated the house on their own before the arrival of services, and no residents were harmed. The operation, lasting several hours, involved nine fire crews, including units from Zielonka, Ślężany, Wołomin, Chajęty, Lasków, Radzymin, Dąbrówka, and Zaścienie.
Roof Collapse and Injuries
During fighting, a roof section detached and fell roughly 3–4 metres. A firefighter working on the roof sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital. His condition is stable and life is not threatened.
Volunteer Participation
In addition to the fire crews, ambulance, police and electrical assistance units were involved.
Investigation Pending
The police will investigate the causes and circumstances of the fire, determining the source of the blaze and the sequence of events.
