Several hours of intensive search operations were conducted across Warsaw on 21 December, following reports that a Ukrainian citizen had taken a child from the home where the boy lived with his mother.
Kidnapping at Family Home
Police received information that the suspect had removed the child from the family apartment and carried him to an unknown location in the capital.
Barricade on Białałęka
The suspect allegedly reached his own residence and barricaded himself with the child in the yard at the junction of Trakt Nadwiślański and Obrazkowa streets in the Białałęka district.
He threatened that any police intervention would result in harm to the boy. The police have fenced the area to prevent access by bystanders.
Police Deploy Negotiators and Counter‑Terror Units
