NO MASS, NO PRAYER: NEW DOMINANT TREND IN READER RESPONSES

A Gazeta.pl survey shows most readers (54.85%) don’t attend church, reflecting polarization in religious practices among portal visitors.

Majority Declares No Church Attendance

Over half of respondents in a Gazeta.pl survey (54.85%) declared they do not go to church, making this the most frequent response by a wide margin. This result shows the extent of distance from regular religious practices among portal readers. The second largest group consists of those who declare regular church attendance (29.89%), which is significantly lower than the percentage of those who do not participate in religious services at all.

Occasional Attendance Rare

The option “sometimes” was chosen by approximately 15% of survey participants. This shows that sporadic participation is now much less popular than either complete abstention or regular presence. This distribution of responses suggests an increasingly clear polarization of attitudes. While some readers declare regular participation, a significantly larger group openly admits they do not go to church at all.

Reflecting a Broader Trend

The results of the Gazeta.pl survey indicate a clear weakening of daily religious practices. Non-participation in religious services has become the dominant declaration, which fits into the social changes observed for years. Although the survey is not representative of the entire country, it accurately reflects the moods among people actively following social and religious topics. The responses show that for many readers, the Church is ceasing to be a constant element of daily life.
