Norwegian Commission Established
The Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs of the Norwegian parliament, Storting, unanimously supported the establishment of an independent commission to investigate relations between the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Jeffrey Epstein, following new document disclosures in the USA.
Criminal Proceedings Initiated
Norway’s economic crime unit, Økokrim, has initiated criminal proceedings against several prominent figures, including former Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland, suspected of corruption, and former Ambassador Mona Juul and her husband Terje Rød-Larsen, investigated for complicity in crimes. According to US Department of Justice documents, Juul and Roed-Larsen maintained contact with the financier accused of pedophilia for many years.
Public Pressure on Princess Mette-Marit
Beyond formal investigations, political and social pressure is growing in Norway to clarify the connections between Crown Prince Haakon’s wife, Princess Mette-Marit, and Jeffrey Epstein. Politicians and public organizations demand full transparency regarding her contacts with the convicted criminal.
Polish Government Team Formed
Poland is establishing a government analytical team to examine possible Polish connections to the Epstein pedophilia scandal. Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the creation of the team, which will include prosecutors, security officers, and police. The commission will be chaired by Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General Waldemar Żurek.
