Remote work surged to 1.912 million workers in Q1 2025, up from 1.614 million in 2024, causing growing challenges for hybrid workplaces.

According to GUS data, in Q1 2025, remote work, which is work outside the company using electronic communication means, was performed by 1.912 million people. In 2024, this number was 1.614 million.

Additionally, 2.784 million people performed their duties at home usually or sometimes – that’s over 180,000 more than the previous year.

Challenges in Hybrid Workplaces

Remote work is therefore gaining popularity, but it is also causing growing problems, especially in companies opting for a hybrid model.

This hybrid model, with a predominance of stationary work on a monthly basis, presents unique management and organizational challenges for employers.
