Olszynka Grochowska Race 2024: 5‑K and 10‑K Runners Amid Street Closures

On Saturday, November 29, runners will compete in 5‑ and 10‑kilometre races at Olszynka Grochowska, with city streets closed to traffic.

Race Dates and Distances

On Saturday, November 29, athletes will run 5‑km and 10‑km races at Olszynka Grochowska. During the event, traffic will be halted on Szeroka Street in Rembertów.

Commemorating the November Uprising

Runners will mark the 195th anniversary of the November Uprising. The start and finish points are situated beside the monument to the Battle of Pod Olszynką Grochowska.

Course Route

The course follows Szeroka Street toward Rafii, then turns onto forest roads through the Olsztynka Grochowska Reserve, and returns via Chłopickiego Street to Szeroka. Separate children’s races are also organized.

Road Closures and Traffic Management

From 7:00 a.m., Szeroka Street will be closed between Traczy and Oraczy. Around 9:40 a.m., the stretch from Oraczy to Rafii will also be blocked. By 10:40 a.m., Szeroka will be impassable along its entire length. All access to streets connecting the race route will also be closed. During the race, police will direct traffic on Chłopickiego. Road control will resume gradually from 12:30 p.m., with all disruptions expected to end by 2:00 p.m.
