A new Polish poll shows Civic Platform winning a tight lead, while opposition parties lag, prompting concerns for PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński.
Poll Methodology and Dates
The survey was carried out from November 15–17 using the CAWI method, involving 1,003 adult respondents. A separate study for the magazine “Polityka” was conducted between October 22–24 with 1,001 participants.
Top Three Parties
Civic Platform (KO) captured 33.55% of the vote, an increase of 1.02 percentage points from the previous poll. Polish United Workers’ Party (PiS) received 28.86%, dropping 1.05 points. Confederation, at 11.45%, fell 1.78 points.
Other Parties and Minor Support
New Left garnered 6.91% (down 0.43 points), Konfederacja Korony Polskiej 5.92% (down 0.24), Together 4.89%, Polska 2050 4.55%, and the Polish People’s Party 2.48%. A further 1.39% of respondents said they would vote for another party.
Opinion on President Karol Nawrocki
In the October study, 53% of respondents rated President Nawrocki positively, with 21% rating him “very good,” 32% “good,” 15% “bad,” 11% “very bad,” and 21% had no opinion.
Projected Second‑Round Voting Preferences
If a second presidential round were held, 40% would vote for Nawrocki, 30% for Rafał Trzaskowski, 19% would abstain, and 11% said “hard to say.”
Views on Presidential Powers
Regarding presidential authority, 39% believe the president should retain current powers, 31% think he should have more, 16% feel he should have less, and 14% cannot decide.
