Police in Legionowo pursued a Skoda driver who refused to stop for a traffic check on April 21st, resulting in a crash near Marki.
Police Pursuit Initiated
On Monday, April 21st, after midnight, police from the Legionowo County Police Headquarters initiated a pursuit of a Skoda driver who did not comply with a traffic stop.
Officers in an unmarked police vehicle attempted to pull over the Skoda. The driver failed to respond to visual and audible signals and fled along Provincial Road No. 631 towards Zielonka.
Crash in Marki
The pursuit concluded in Marki, before the S8 highway. The Skoda driver caused a dangerous traffic incident, colliding with an Opel, which overturned and came to rest on its side.
The Skoda subsequently veered into a roadside ditch. The unmarked police Opel involved in the chase also sustained damage.
Injuries and Arrests
The 19-year-old driver of the civilian Opel was taken to the hospital. His injuries were ultimately classified as less than 7 days, categorizing the incident as a traffic collision.
At least one person was detained from the Skoda, and further proceedings were initiated. Drugs were discovered on the individual.
Police also searched a nearby forest with a tracking dog and handler, but did not release details regarding the total number of occupants or their roles in the incident.
