Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan, who had been waiting in a nearby room, entered the meeting abruptly after more than 40 minutes of waiting and joined the conversation that was already underway between Putin and Erdogan.

Reports show that the dialogue between Putin and Erdogan overran its allotted time, causing the Pakistani delegation, which included Vice‑Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, to wait in a neighboring room before Sharif entered.

Similar incidents have been reported before, where technical issues or delays have embarrassed the Pakistani prime minister, according to The Economic Times, noting earlier occasions where the translation headset failed during meetings with Putin.
