The French electricity network operator Enedis announced that a power interruption occurred on the morning of November 20 in parts of two Paris districts and the Hauts‑de‑Seine department, according to reports by Le Parisien.

Metro Line 12 Stopped, Resumed Later

As a result, the city’s streets fell into darkness and operations on metro line 12 were suspended on the entire line because of a fault in the power supply. Service was later reinstated.

Malakoff Residents Unable to Enter Homes

In Malakoff, some residents could not reach their homes because their entry codes ceased to work during the outage.

55,000 Homes Affected, Drop to 2,600 by 7:50 AM

The incident impacted 55,000 homes. By 7:50 AM, the number of affected households had fallen to 2,600.
