Party Platforms, Not Leaders, Drive Polish Vote Intentions

A recent poll reveals that Polish voters prioritize political party programs over leaders or current events when deciding their vote in the 2027 parliamentary elections.

Party Programs Take the Lead

A survey examining factors influencing voting decisions in the 2027 parliamentary elections indicates that party programs are the most significant driver for voters.

Specifically, 57.77% (1137 out of 1968 votes, as of March 24, 2026) of respondents cited party programs and specific proposals as their primary consideration.

Current Events and Leaders Follow

Current political events ranked second, with 24.85% (489 votes) of respondents identifying them as influential. Leaders and public figures were chosen by 16.26% (320 votes).

Opinions of friends and family had the least impact, with only 1.12% (22 votes) of respondents citing them as a factor.

Poland’s Parliamentary Election System

Poland’s parliamentary elections are governed by the Constitution and the Electoral Code, determining the composition of the Sejm and Senate.

The elections, held every four years, allow voters to elect 460 members of the Sejm and 100 senators. The Sejm utilizes a proportional representation system, while the Senate employs a majority system. The Supreme Court validates the election results.
