Passenger Hospitalized After Bus Collision at Ursynów Intersection

At about 11:40 a.m. on Dec. 20, a Nissan SUV struck a city bus on the Witolda Pilecki–Roentgen intersection in Ursynów, leaving a passenger with a shoulder injury and in hospital.

Intersection Layout

The crossing features a central island and a traffic arrangement resembling a roundabout, influencing how vehicles must navigate through it.

Bus Route and Destination

Bus line 715 was moving northward along Roentgen from Płaskowicka and planned to turn left onto Witolda Pilecki, following its scheduled route.

Nissan Driver’s Misinterpretation

The Nissan driver turned left from Ciszewskiego onto Witolda Pilecki, incorrectly assuming the bus would immediately continue onto a lane running opposite the traffic direction rather than proceeding past the island as required.

Collision Dynamics

Because the Nissan exited just before the correctly‑guided bus approached, the vehicles collided, causing a passenger’s shoulder injury.

Medical and Police Response

The injured passenger was transported to the hospital, and police managed the scene afterwards.
