A nationwide poll of 1,002 Poles released in September 2025 shows that 78 % equate voting with patriotism, while 73 % regard buying domestic products as patriotic behavior.
What the Survey Measured
The survey, conducted by IRCenter for Onet, asked respondents whether specific actions could be considered forms of patriotism. The team presented five categories, ranging from civic engagement to cultural promotion.
Voting and Political Participation
Seventy–eight percent of respondents identified taking part in elections as a key manifestation of patriotism, emphasizing the role of democratic responsibility.
Cultural Representation and Consumption
Seventy‑seven percent see representing Poland abroad positively, and seventy‑six percent believe that displaying Polish culture to foreign visitors matters. Seventy‑three percent also said buying Polish products and services is patriotic, while 71 % claimed that promoting national culture on social media is patriotic as well.
Other Ways Poles Define Patriotism
The same proportion of participants noted visiting historic sites in Poland and flying the national flag during state holidays as patriotic acts. These choices together highlight a spectrum of civic activities linked to national pride.
Methodology and Sample
The poll was carried out in September 2025 with a nationally representative sample of 1,002 respondents across Poland.
