Pedestrian struck at Warsaw crossing dies after month‑long battle

On 8 October 2025, a 41‑year‑old Filipino woman was crossing the marked pedestrian crossing without a traffic signal on road 579 in Tłuste, Grójec County, when a Dacia sedan driven by a 21‑year‑old male struck her. The vehicle was traveling from the opposite direction after a driver ahead had stopped at the crossing. The impact was severe enough to cause critical injuries.

Emergency Response

Emergency services quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her condition critical. Intensive medical care sustained her life for more than a month. The Dacia driver was sober, was taken into custody, and remained available to the police, who set up temporary shuttle traffic on the affected road segment.

Investigation and Legal Proceedings
