PFRON has ended its equipment rental program for disabled people after failed negotiations, Bożena Borowiec confirms.
Rental Program Discontinued
Bożena Borowiec, deputy president of the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Disabled People (PFRON), informed that the rental of equipment and assistive technologies has ceased its operations, in response to an appeal by Adam Krzywoń, deputy ombudsman for citizen rights (RPO).
Background and Equipment Inventory
The aforementioned rental for people with disabilities was launched in September 2023. Its inventory contains over 14,000 pieces of equipment, including rehabilitation beds, tablets, hearing aids, oxygen concentrators, wheelchairs, and electric scooters.
Failed Negotiations Led to Cancellation
The discontinuation of the rental program followed failed negotiations.
