A new report reveals that 91% of Polish kindergartens have websites where 65% publish children’s photos without proper data protection.
Research Findings
According to the “Face of Polish Education” report by Aleksandra Rodziewicz, prepared in cooperation with the Digital Citizenship Institute and the students’ rights ombudsperson in Poznań, 91 percent of kindergartens have websites, and 65 percent publish photos of children on them.
Data Protection Concerns
The research also shows that caring for data protection and image is most often the task of teachers, who usually do not have specialist support in this field.
Consent Limitations
Consent is not always enough when it comes to using children’s photos for promotional purposes by schools.
