A leaked PiS day‑briefing released on November 4 details a scripted campaign to attack the Confederation and calls for moles among PiS officials, reports Wirtualna Polska.
Central Orders to Target Confederation
Wirtualna Polska reported that the Polish Law and Justice (PiS) party’s leadership issued a top‑down briefing instructing members to criticize the Confederation. The briefing, published at the end of October, contained directives on how to respond to media, what statements to make, and how to publish content.
List of Targeted Topics and Allegations
The briefing singled out several themes: highlighting differences between the parties, accusing the Confederation of intending to privatize education and health, and labeling Sławomir Mentzen as “unprofessional and unreliable.”
Call for Moles Among PiS Ranks
On November 4, Wirtualna Polska reported that the party’s press office at Naruszewicza sought individuals who had removed and shared an internal document with journalists, describing the search as “looking for moles among us.” The source cited a “rising investigation” into the leak.
Internal Discontent Over the Briefing
Talks to PiS insiders revealed surprise and criticism of the guidance from Naruszewicza. One member said they were shocked by the message, noting that the briefing’s accusations of Mentzen supporting banderists or lockdowns were “untrue.” Another warned that further “war” with the Confederation would be “unwanted” and that the party was becoming “grotesque.”
Kaczyński Rejects Cooperation with Confederation
In recent weeks, PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński has ruled out any coalition with the Confederation, denouncing political social Darwinism as immoral and ineffective. He said a potential coalition partner must aim to pull Poland out of its current state and drive it toward normal development.
Call for Full Power and Strong Support
Kaczyński emphasized the need for PiS to seize full authority, stating that a “good government” must have robust support. He suggested that any significant support from Confederation members would be contingent upon PiS governance.
