PiS Outlines Vision for School Reform. Experts: Education Needs Stability

Law and Justice party leaders debate education reform at Zamość Academy, criticizing current policies as damaging to Polish schools.

Education Reform Debate at Zamość Academy

On Saturday, a program debate titled “Thinking Poland – Alternative 2.0: Education – how to fix Polish schools after the December 13 Coalition governments. Challenges and possible repair directions” was held at the Zamość Academy. The event featured Law and Justice party representatives discussing the education system.

Key Participants

Attendees included Piotr Gliński, Przemysław Czarnek, Dariusz Piontkowski, Marzena Machałek, Mirosława Stachowiak-Różecka, and other politicians and experts from the party.

Czarnek’s Criticism of Current Education Policy

Former Minister of National Education Przemysław Czarnek described the current situation as if a bulldozer had arrived at a construction site with already built structures, demolishing them without regard. He claimed the Ministry of Education has been implementing a program to destroy Polish education for two years.

Alleged Goals of Current Education Policy

Czarnek alleged that the goal is to create a subservient Union citizen with anti-Polish complexes and limited skills, who would serve as labor for economies outside Poland, with what he described as “German precision.”
