PiS representative Przemysław Czarnek announced the party will back proposals aimed at immediately reducing fuel prices at gas stations during a Sejm session.
PiS Support for Fuel Price Reduction
PiS will support proposals designed to immediately lower fuel prices at gas stations, according to Przemysław Czarnek, a representative of the PiS parliamentary club. The announcement was made during evening deliberations in the Sejm.
Czarnek stated that PiS will support all decisions that lead to an immediate decrease in fuel prices, including those proposed by the opposition.
Government Proposals Deemed Delayed
Czarnek criticized the government’s proposals as being nearly three weeks late, claiming they copied an idea from PiS presented three weeks prior. He argued that Polish citizens, particularly farmers, have suffered losses due to the delay.
He stated the delay has cost Poles over two billion złoty in the past three weeks.
Opposition Pledges Swift Action
Jarosław Urbaniak, a representative of the Civic Coalition (KO), stated the proposed projects are a “solution for people who fuel up at Polish gas stations.”
Urbaniak declared that the KO parliamentary club will urgently begin working on the submitted projects, aiming for swift completion, potentially as early as the following day.
