Prosecutors in Poznan have charged two men with defamation following an incident where they attempted to force entry into the office of a Ukrainian company, claiming to conduct unauthorized inspections.<\/p>\n
Two men were arrested and charged with defamation by the Poznan District Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, July 8. The charges relate to allegations concerning the company\u2019s supposed involvement in activities that disturb the ethnic structure.<\/p>\n
The suspects have not pleaded guilty. While one remained silent, the other claimed he visited a local university to investigate whether the premises were being rented to a firm bringing in foreign workers. Footage circulating online shows the men attempting to enter a Ukrainian company’s office at the Poznan University of Economics, asserting that they wanted to inspect it because of their hostility toward Ukraine. The men questioned the company\u2019s representative regarding her political views and business operations before being denied entry. Reports indicate the individuals are activists associated with political figures Grzegorz Braun and Janusz Korwin-Mikke.<\/p>\n
Wielkopolska police spokesperson Andrzej Borowiak confirmed on Wednesday that authorities are reviewing the behavior of other individuals involved in the incident as part of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n
Interior Minister Marcin Kierwinski condemned the actions on Thursday, July 9, stating that no one will be permitted to harass others in Poland regardless of their nationality. He emphasized that police will respond decisively to ensure the rule of law is upheld.<\/p>\n
