Prosecutors in Zakopane are demanding a seven-month prison sentence for a quad bike rental owner who stabbed a man during a dispute over illegal vehicle trespassing on private property. <\/p>\n
The Zakopane District Court has concluded the trial regarding a violent incident at a local off-road vehicle rental facility. Prosecutors and the victim are seeking 21,000 PLN in compensation, in addition to demanding the defendant cover all legal costs. The verdict is scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday, July 15.<\/p>\n
Prosecutor Aneta H\u0142adki emphasized that the defendant, Stanis\u0142aw G., acted with premeditation while intoxicated. The attack occurred as the victim attempted to protect his land from being used as an unauthorized route for tourist quad excursions.<\/p>\n
During closing arguments, the prosecution stated that the attack was driven entirely by financial gain and a blatant disregard for human life. Defense attorney Grzegorz Krawczyk admitted partial guilt on behalf of his client. While acknowledging the stabbing, the defense asked for an acquittal on the charge of making criminal threats, noting that Stanis\u0142aw G. has expressed remorse and apologized to the victim in court.<\/p>\n
The incident took place on January 19, 2025, when the defendant, who had a blood alcohol concentration of 1.9 per mille, attacked a resident with a knife, causing wounds to the victim’s forearm and hand.
