A 29-year-old man, who assaulted three officers with brass knuckles outside the Central Cybercrime Bureau in Warsaw, has been charged with plotting to murder the Bureau’s commander and other staff. <\/p>\n
Officers from the Central Cybercrime Bureau (CBZC) apprehended a man who attacked an officer with brass knuckles at the entrance of the bureau’s headquarters in the morning. The attacker was armed with two sets of brass knuckles when he initiated the assault.<\/p>\n
While the first officer did not require hospitalization, the suspect remained highly aggressive despite repeated orders to surrender. The ensuing struggle to subdue the attacker resulted in injuries to two additional officers, one of whom required hospital treatment for a leg wound inflicted by the brass knuckles.<\/p>\n
Following the immediate response from nearby CBZC personnel, the suspect was neutralized and detained at the Kabaty Metro station in Warsaw. A subsequent personal search of his backpack revealed a machete in addition to the brass knuckles.<\/p>\n
Local police from the Ursyn\u00f3w station transported the man for further processing. The suspect, who now faces charges including assault, battery, and insults toward officers, faces up to 10 years in prison.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors have formally charged the perpetrator with preparing to commit murder between April 12 and July 9, 2026. The target of the plot was identified as the current CBZC Commander, Junior Inspector Wojciech Olszowy, along with other personnel fulfilling their duties at the agency.<\/p>\n
