Police have detained a man who verbally abused and harassed Ukrainian girls on a bus in Bielsko-Bia\u0142a, following an investigation initiated after a viral social media recording surfaced.<\/p>\n
The perpetrator of the attack in the Bielsko-Bia\u0142a bus has been apprehended by police. Interior Minister Marcin Kierwi\u0144ski stated on Monday that such aggression will face a firm state response, warning that he, like any other offender, will not remain unpunished.<\/p>\n
Sub-inspector S\u0142awomir Kocur of the Bielsko-Bia\u0142a Municipal Police confirmed that officers acted on their own initiative without receiving a formal report. The detained local resident is now undergoing questioning.<\/p>\n
The Municipal Transport Company (MZK) in Bielsko-Bia\u0142a reported that the incident occurred on July 11. The aggressor was identified as an MZK driver who has been on medical leave for an extended period.<\/p>\n
According to the company, the driver operating the vehicle intervened when he heard shouting, requesting the passenger to remain calm and eventually ordering him to leave the bus. MZK confirmed that the employee will face disciplinary consequences as per labor law.<\/p>\n
Social media footage shows the man attacking the girls, claiming they were “raised on our money” and telling them to go back to Ukraine. He used xenophobic slurs against the minors and other passengers present on the bus.<\/p>\n
Data from the Central Statistical Office shows that as of late September 2025, Ukrainian citizens were the largest group of foreign workers in Poland, accounting for 67.2% of all foreign labor.<\/p>\n
