The sale, reported by UPI, marks the highest price ever paid for an original piece of comic book art.<\/p>\n<h4>Market Demand for Rare Marvel Covers<\/h4>\n<p>Joe Mannarino, a representative from the New York-based Heritage Auctions, noted that the combination of a fantastic drawing and a historic comic book fueled the record-breaking price. He highlighted that very few early Marvel cover pages remain in existence, making their appearance on the market a significant event that draws intense interest.<\/p>\n<h4>Competitive Bidding and Previous Records<\/h4>\n<p>The Sunday auction saw fierce competition among six bidders.
