On Thursday, the prosecutor&#8217;s office announced that charges have been filed against one participant in the brawl that resulted in the victim&#8217;s death.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred on the night of August 1 to 2, 2024, at the Volunteer Fire Department (OSP) station in Bia\u0142y Dunajec. Following the altercation, the victim, Pawe\u0142 Zi\u0119tkowicz, was rushed to a hospital in Nowy Targ in critical condition and died several days later. An autopsy determined the cause of death to be a subdural hematoma.<\/p>\n<h4>Suspect Status and Precautionary Measures<\/h4>\n<p>Justyna Rataj-Mykietyn, spokesperson for the District Prosecutor&#8217;s Office in Nowy S\u0105cz, confirmed that the suspect, identified as W\u0142adys\u0142aw M., has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and causing moderate bodily harm. He remains the only person charged in connection with this case.<\/p>\n<p>W\u0142adys\u0142aw M. did not admit to the allegations and refused to provide testimony.
