The Law and Justice (PiS) party leadership has ordered members to exit specific political associations within seven days or face expulsion, directly targeting new groups founded by Mateusz Morawiecki and Jacek Sasin.<\/p>\n
The Presidium of the PiS Political Committee has formally prohibited its members from participating in political associations, foundations, or similar organizations. This directive specifically targets the “Rozw\u00f3j Plus” association linked to Mateusz Morawiecki and “Po pierwsze Polska” associated with Jacek Sasin.<\/p>\n
Party spokesperson Rafa\u0142 Bochenek announced via X that members must resign from these organizations within one week. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary proceedings, up to and including the loss of party membership.<\/p>\n
Despite the party’s decree, Mateusz Morawiecki has indicated he will not dissolve his association. MEP Piotr M\u00fcller questioned Jaki’s motives, citing his voting record on EU digital surveillance legislation. M\u00fcller expressed concern over what he termed the “Suwpolization” of PiS, suggesting the party is veering in an concerning direction.<\/p>\n
The leadership\u2019s decision has triggered significant unrest within the party. MPs Janusz Cieszy\u0144ski and Waldemar Buda have publicly criticized the move, claiming that a specific group within PiS is prioritizing the removal of Mateusz Morawiecki over winning elections, a strategy they argue will cause long-term damage to the political right.<\/p>\n
