The average monthly payout during this period was 1,083.23 PLN. This means many beneficiaries already draw a retirement or disability pension, but their benefits are lower than the statutory minimum, so ZUS covers the missing amount up to the lowest pension level.<\/p>\n
Starting March 1, 2026, the lowest pension is 1,978.49 PLN gross. The maximum parental supplementary benefit for a person who does not receive any retirement or disability pension can amount to the same figure following the annual indexation of pension benefits.<\/p>\n
The program was launched in March 2019 to support individuals who gave up professional activity or could not undertake it due to raising many children.<\/p>\n
The mere fact of raising four children does not guarantee receiving the money. ZUS also analyzes the financial situation of the applicant to ensure the benefit provides means of subsistence for those without income capable of independently securing living needs.<\/p>\n
To receive the benefit, the ERSU form must be submitted to ZUS along with required documents, and the case is analyzed individually with a decision issued by the president of ZUS.<\/p>\n
The parental supplementary benefit will not be granted to persons who already receive a retirement or pension equal to at least the minimum pension. The benefit is also not available to persons serving prison sentences or in temporary detention, with some exceptions for electronic monitoring.<\/p>\n
