A new CBOS survey shows that in July, 59 percent of Poles positively assessed the situation in their workplace, marking a five-percentage-point decrease from the previous month alongside growing pessimism on local labor markets. <\/p>\n
The latest CBOS survey reveals that in July, 59 percent of employed Poles positively evaluated the situation in their workplace. This is 5 percentage points less than the month before, while the percentage of negative assessments increased to 13 percent, alongside a deterioration in opinions regarding local labor markets.<\/p>\n
Nearly three-fifths of gainfully employed respondents (59 percent) viewed the current situation in their workplaces positively. Close to half of the respondents (48 percent) consider it simply good, while those rating it as very good account for 11 percent.<\/p>\n
Thirteen percent of respondents perceive the situation in their workplace as bad, with moderate opinions also dominating among negative assessments\u201410 percent of respondents considered it simply bad and 2 percent very bad. One in four respondents (25 percent) stated that the situation in their workplace is neither good nor bad, and 2 percent abstained from answering.<\/p>\n
Authors of the study noted that following a slight improvement in June, July brought a correction: the percentage of people considering the situation in their workplace good decreased by 5 percentage points, while the shares of those assessing it as bad or describing it as neither good nor bad both increased by 2 points.<\/p>\n
Compared to May and June, forecasts regarding the situation in workplaces also worsened slightly. The number of working people believing that the situation in their workplace would improve over the coming year dropped by 2 percentage points to 18 percent, while those predicting a deterioration increased by the same margin to 15 percent.<\/p>\n
Just as in previous months, the dominant group consists of those who do not foresee any changes, although this group decreased minimally from 61 percent to 58 percent compared to June.<\/p>\n
In July, the sense of employment security and the threat of losing current jobs remained at June’s levels. Nearly three-quarters (72 percent) of gainfully employed respondents declared that they do not fear losing their current job due to layoffs, bankruptcy, company liquidation, or farm closure, while nearly one in four (24 percent) takes this into consideration.<\/p>\n
The study showed that compared to June, assessments of the situation on local labor markets deteriorated. Among all surveyed, the percentage of those believing that it is currently difficult or entirely impossible to find any job in their town or area increased by 4 percentage points to 33 percent. Simultaneously, the percentage of those considering that such opportunities exist remained unchanged at 59 percent, while those declining to answer dropped from 11 percent to 8 percent.<\/p>\n
The survey was conducted from July 2 to July 12, 2026, on a sample of 938 people, comprising 65.5 percent via CAPI, 16.6 percent via CATI, and 17.9 percent via CAWI.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
