The former prime minister stated in a video on July 9 that discussions will cover the economy, security, family, local governments, and the nation’s future, urging supporters to join in building a great, proud, and strong Poland.<\/p>\n
Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski criticized Morawiecki’s initiative on Kana\u0142 TAK, pointing out that the party cannot be financed by external entities nor fund them itself. He warned that Morawiecki’s barbecue “will certainly cost a lot.”<\/p>\n
Kaczy\u0144ski explained that if the party financed the venture, an objective court would likely view it as an attempt to bypass the law since it involves an association rather than the party itself, resulting in the loss of their state subsidy.<\/p>\n
The National Electoral Office noted that formal party associations do not exist in the Polish legal order, and political parties are not authorized to create or finance such entities, though they can use their paid services.<\/p>\n
The office clarified in a response to TV Republika journalist Adrian Borecki that the law on political parties does not prohibit members from participating in foundation or association events, nor does it restrict private funding for such activities.<\/p>\n
Piotr M\u00fcller, former government spokesperson and member of the “Rozw\u00f3j Plus” association, responded on platform X, stating that the association’s activities do not threaten PiS’s subsidy.<\/p>\n
M\u00fcller argued that the situation is further proof of an “intrigue” being carried out within the party, emphasizing the need to stop it through daily discussions, explanations, and maintaining unity.<\/p>\n
A meeting between the PiS leader and Morawiecki is scheduled for Thursday, July 23, at 12:00 PM.<\/p>\n
