PiS MEP Micha\u0142 Dworczyk announced on Polish Radio that he and other members of the “Rozw\u00f3j Plus” association have refused to sign a loyalty pledge demanded by the party leadership. <\/p>\n
PiS MEP Micha\u0142 Dworczyk informed Polish Radio’s First Program that he, like other members of the “Rozw\u00f3j Plus” association, did not sign the declaration regarding non-participation in political associations. PiS required its members to submit this document by the end of Thursday under threat of expulsion from the party. This is a response to the establishment of the association by MP Mateusz Morawiecki.<\/p>\n
Dworczyk stated that baptism happens only once, meaning that having signed the declaration to join Law and Justice nearly a quarter of a century ago, nothing has changed for him, and he sees no need to sign any other documents. He added that genuine intent and declarations are shown through actions rather than on paper, as he spoke on “Sygna\u0142y dnia” in Polish Radio’s Jedynka.<\/p>\n
Dworczyk commented on the meeting between PiS leader Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski and Mateusz Morawiecki, recalling that the side representing the association presented a package of 21 compromise proposals. In response, however, the idea of freezing the activities of “Rozw\u00f3j Plus” emerged, which politicians from this circle view directly as an attempt to liquidate it.<\/p>\n
Dworczyk questioned what has changed since April 2026, noting that a few months ago Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski and Mateusz Morawiecki announced agreements stating that the association could function normally. He recalled Kaczy\u0144ski speaking of the “two lungs” of Law and Justice, a move intended to broaden the electorate.<\/p>\n
He commented that back in 2019, when they won the elections independently, they were a broad camp and party uniting many environments with room for everyone, and they want to return to that 25-year heritage of Law and Justice.<\/p>\n
Pressed on what the group gathered around Morawiecki would do if expelled from PiS, Dworczyk declined to answer. He stated that a narrow group of politicians, guided by personal or factional interests, has been trying for some time to expel Mateusz Morawiecki and his associates from the party, which will certainly not help Law and Justice or the entire Polish right wing.<\/p>\n
