The Dobry Start program, also known as 300 plus or 300+, provides a one-time support of 300 PLN for students starting the school year until they turn 20, or 24 for students with disabilities. The benefit is exclusively for school-enrolled children, excluding university students and those in preschool or kindergarten reception classes.<\/p>\n
The grant is not dependent on family income per capita and is awarded once per school year. ZUS handles the application receipt, review, granting, and disbursement of funds.<\/p>\n
Applications can be filed by parents, factual guardians who have applied to court for adoption, and legal guardians appointed by the court. Independent students and emancipated youth leaving foster care may also apply, along with foster families, family orphanage directors, and institutional care directors.<\/p>\n
Parents sharing alternating custody can submit a joint application, resulting in each receiving a 150 PLN benefit.<\/p>\n
Applications are accepted exclusively online via the mZUS application, eZUS portal, emp@tia portal, and electronic banking. Institutional guardians and independent students are restricted to using the mZUS app and eZUS portal.<\/p>\n
Applications must be submitted between July 1 and November 30. Submissions completed by the end of August guarantee payment by September 30, while later filings are processed within two months, potentially extending payouts through January 2027.<\/p>\n
A mandatory requirement for the 300 plus application is specifying the school the child will attend starting September 1, 2026. While primary high school lists were announced on July 21, 2026, the supplementary admission round concludes on August 12, 2026.<\/p>\n
Consequently, parents awaiting placement results cannot input school data, rendering them unable to correctly submit a complete Dobry Start application.<\/p>\n
Effective July 1, 2026, new regulations govern third-country nationals and temporary protection beneficiaries from Ukraine under the UKR status. Applicants must demonstrate economic activity in the month preceding application submission or prove health insurance coverage during that period.<\/p>\n
This employment condition does not apply to children who are Polish citizens, hold disability certificates, are under foreign foster care, or are adult students applying independently. The requirement for the applicant and child to reside in Poland remains unchanged.<\/p>\n
Dobry Start funds are tax-exempt, immune from enforcement proceedings, and excluded from income calculations for other state support systems.<\/p>\n
