Ryszard Terlecki stated on Friday, July 24, in a post on the X platform, that Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski remains the “most outstanding politician of 35 years.” However, as he added, “buttermen are leading PiS to defeat.”<\/p>\n
“I think the day will come when the President will chase them away and together we will go for victory,” stated Terlecki, who is among the politicians expelled from Law and Justice.<\/p>\n
“Scouts” is the group gathered around Mateusz Morawiecki\u2014some of them, though not Morawiecki himself, have a background in the Association of Polish Scouting and Guiding, hence the name of the faction. They are mainly people with whom Morawiecki collaborated back when he was a bank president and later as prime minister.<\/p>\n
“Buttermen” is, in turn, the opposing camp, closer to Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski, which includes Jacek Sasin, Przemys\u0142aw Czarnek, Patryk Jaki, and Tobiasz Boche\u0144ski, among others. The name refers to a post by MEP Boche\u0144ski, who was outraged that he got German butter on board a LOT plane. The term stuck to the faction as a label given by opponents.<\/p>\n
Pawe\u0142 Jab\u0142o\u0144ski, a mediator from Mateusz Morawiecki’s Rozw\u00f3j Plus association, revealed in an interview with PAP that negotiations with the PiS leadership lasted a dozen or so hours over three days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. As he said, he held the most talks with PiS Secretary General Piotr Milowa\u0144ski.<\/p>\n
Asked about the course of events, he stated that it is “sad” and he feels “disappointed,” because until the very end he “had a shadow of hope that something would change.” At the same time, he emphasized that the development of events was not a surprise to him because “that’s what it looked like for a couple of days.” – It turned out badly. According to him, Milowa\u0144ski “constructively” tried to “help a lot.” Jab\u0142o\u0144ski assessed that the intensive talks went “well.” As he said, the negotiations consisted of “creating various ideas,” a total of 21 of which were created and collected into a list. According to Jab\u0142o\u0144ski, all these proposals were “fulfillable or correctable.” – These were ideas that we worked out and brought to Mr. President, but after arrangements with Milowa\u0144ski – Jab\u0142o\u0144ski pointed out.<\/p>\n
In his opinion, the fundamental problem, however, was that “even the best-written agreement cannot enter into force if there is no political decision.” – And a political decision was made this way and not otherwise.
