Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski’s recent remarks regarding Mateusz Morawiecki have sparked sharp reactions across the political spectrum, exposing deep internal divisions within Law and Justice (PiS). <\/p>\n
On Friday, July 24, Kaczy\u0144ski stated on Republika television that during a direct conversation with Morawiecki, he offered him the position of prime minister. According to Kaczy\u0144ski’s account, the politician replied that he perfectly understood where power comes from and that his ambition was to take over the party.<\/p>\n
The PiS leader also emphasized that Jacek Sasin immediately dissolved his association. Kaczy\u0144ski declared that if Mateusz Morawiecki had done the same, he would today be a very important name in the party and a serious candidate to succeed him when he steps down.<\/p>\n
In an interview with wPolsce24, Kaczy\u0144ski stated that Morawiecki had a more complicated biography and spent a longer time on the attacking side. He added that while this does not mean Morawiecki attacked personally, he operated in that world and was even an advisor to Tusk.<\/p>\n
When asked by the wPolsce24 host if he felt guilty, the PiS president replied that he truly did not feel guilty, while also stating that he might have taken certain actions too late.<\/p>\n
Monika Paw\u0142owska posted on X that after years of hard work for Poland, Morawiecki is suddenly portrayed the next day as a traitor and Tusk’s agent, expressing amazement at how the party president allowed himself to be manipulated by a corrupt crew.<\/p>\n
Former Confederation MP Robert Winnicki wrote on X that the right wing should do everything to keep Kaczy\u0144ski away from influence over power, pointing out that Kaczy\u0144ski previously made Marcinkiewicz prime minister and later appointed Tusk’s advisor as head of the government for six years.<\/p>\n
European Parliament member Krzysztof Brejza commented that Kaczy\u0144ski noted Morawiecki emerged from an environment whose empathy toward less affluent social strata was at a low level, adding that they jointly destroyed the state and people.<\/p>\n

Morawiecki asked what had changed to cause this handful of intriguers and schemers to begin altering the party president’s attitude. In response, Sasin stated on wPolsce24 that the narrative about intriguers is a planned and uniformly distributed message that is not only untrue but deeply offensive to President Kaczy\u0144ski.<\/p>\n
Sasin argued that Morawiecki is running away from the fact that his actions were severely criticized by the party president and leadership.
