Recent polls indicate that if parliamentary elections were held in the near future, they would be won by the Civic Coalition. However, the grouping would have trouble building a majority in the Sejm.<\/p>\n
In an SW Research poll for rp.pl conducted on July 21-22, participants answered who would be a better candidate for prime minister if the KO had a chance to form a government after 2027. It turned out that 25.2 percent of respondents pointed to Rados\u0142aw Sikorski, while 17.1 percent chose Donald Tusk. 32.6 percent of respondents evaluated both politicians the same, while 25.1 percent had no opinion on the matter.<\/p>\n
Sikorski is gaining ground in specific groups. Adam Jastrz\u0119bski, senior project manager at SW Research, comments on the study results that he would perform the role of prime minister better according to every third person from cities with a population of 100,000 to 199,000 and a slightly higher percentage of respondents aged up to 24 (36 percent).<\/p>\n
He adds that the group which most often considers Donald Tusk a better candidate for future prime minister consists of respondents with a net income exceeding 7,000 PLN (24 percent of indications for Donald Tusk, 29 percent of indications for Rados\u0142aw Sikorski).<\/p>\n
The study was conducted among users of the SW Panel on-line panel on July 21-22, 2026, in a group of 800 internet users over the age of 18. The sample was selected to match the structure of adult Poles in terms of key features related to the subject of the study, taking socio-demographic variables into account.<\/p>\n
As recently written on Gazeta.pl, a United Surveys by IBRiS poll commissioned by Wirtualna Polska and conducted on July 16-17 shows that the Civic Coalition would take first place in the upcoming elections with 29 percent and 176 mandates, while Law and Justice would take second with 18.9 percent and 108 mandates.<\/p>\n
Subsequent places were taken by: Confederation with 12 percent and 61 mandates, Grzegorz Braun’s Confederation of the Polish Crown with 10.9 percent and 53 mandates, and the Left with 8.3 percent and 36 mandates. PSL, Partia Razem, and Polska 2050 did not cross the electoral threshold.<\/p>\n
It is worth emphasizing that the poll was conducted before the split in PiS. If Mateusz Morawiecki establishes his own party, his grouping may enter the Sejm. The study showed that Morawiecki’s party would gain 6.9 percent support, which would give it 26 mandates in the Sejm.<\/p>\n
The distribution of power in parliament consistent with the poll results would mean that the groupings making up the current ruling coalition would lose their majority, with KO and the Left together having only 212 MPs.
