A new PRCN report reveals that Polpharma, Aflofarm, and Adamed dominate AI search visibility in Poland, as LLMs increasingly replace traditional medical discovery for patients. <\/p>\n
According to Axa Health data, over 36% of individuals with disease symptoms diagnose their conditions by querying an LLM first, rather than consulting a doctor or reliable sources. Nearly 3 in 10 adults have used artificial intelligence to search for health information, and over half of internet users have encountered AI-generated summaries.<\/p>\n
This means language model responses increasingly precede conversations with physicians, forcing pharmaceutical companies to compete not just for Google rankings, but for the credibility and availability of information utilized by AI models.<\/p>\n
PRCN advisory agency published its original report, “Prescription for AI. Study of Pharmaceutical Companies’ Visibility in AI Overviews,” analyzing the presence of the 50 largest pharmaceutical companies in Poland within ChatGPT and Gemini responses.<\/p>\n
PRCN developed the proprietary AI Visibility Index (AVI) to evaluate appearance frequency, description accuracy, and brand image consistency across contexts using the three pillars of visibility.<\/p>\n
The analysis utilized ChatGPT and Gemini by querying both models with an identical set of questions regarding the pharmaceutical market, its leaders, and individual enterprises to compare visibility levels and knowledge structuring.<\/p>\n
Polpharma achieved the highest visibility, securing first place in the combined ChatGPT and Gemini ranking with a score of 91%, consistently highlighted for its scale, competence, and production facilities.<\/p>\n
Aflofarm Farmacja Polska took second place with a score of 72%, recognized consistently by both models for its wide product portfolio and high recognition.<\/p>\n
Adamed Pharma ranked third with a score of 68%, receiving high marks particularly from Gemini for its research and development activities and innovative product pipeline.<\/p>\n
Report results show AI presence is not a direct consequence of organization size or market share, but rather digital ecosystem content quality, expert text citation, and clear therapeutic area assignment.<\/p>\n
While Polpharma achieved over 90% of the total score, other strong market players appeared only sporadically or in narrow contexts, alongside clear discrepancies between models where an organization appeared as a leader in one and remained invisible in another.<\/p>\n
Managing Director Iwona Kubicz emphasizes that this marks the first time since Google’s creation that information search and brand reputation mechanisms are changing, shifting the competition from click rankings to AI inclusion.<\/p>\n
The growing role of AI in health searches demands greater sector responsibility for public data quality, requiring pharmaceutical companies to prioritize reliable and expert communication.<\/p>\n
Unit Director Natalia Skarbek notes that AI visibility functions as a strategic tool for boards, communication, marketing, and public affairs departments, transforming visibility into the currency of trust where purchasing, investment, and regulatory decisions are preceded by AI queries.<\/p>\n
The report indicates that Artificial Intelligence Optimization (AIO) is emerging as a new element of reputation management alongside SEO, public affairs, and traditional media monitoring.<\/p>\n
