The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested three individuals and seized documentation across Mazovia hospitals on July 28 following an investigation into public office bribery and medical training fund irregularities spanning 2020 to 2021. <\/p>\n
The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau reported that the operations were carried out on July 28 by officers from the Warsaw CBA Delegation under the order of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Sieradz, which oversees the proceedings. During the searches, documentation and data storage media that may serve as evidence in the investigation were secured.<\/p>\n
Investigators determined that between 2020 and 2021, bribery related to the performance of public functions by identified individuals may have occurred. Furthermore, the proper expenditure of funds from local government financial support earmarked for the education and qualification upgrading of medical personnel is being verified. So far, three individuals have been detained and have already been charged.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that at the beginning of July, CBA officers entered the South Hospital and secured the facility’s documentation, among other items. Today, on July 9, acting on the orders of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, CBA agents are conducting activities as part of an investigation regarding irregularities at the Warsaw South Hospital. Officers are securing documents at the Warsaw City Hall, the Ursus District Office, and the hospital, informed Jacek Dobrzy\u0144ski, spokesperson for the minister-coordinator of special services, on X at the time, adding that the documents secured on Thursday will be thoroughly analyzed and verified.<\/p>\n
In turn, the spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba, clarified that this is neither the first nor the last execution of the prosecutor’s office rulings in this case, adding that materials are being secured and analyzed on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n
The CBA actions were related to an investigation concerning irregularities at the South Hospital, with the Zero.pl portal being the first to write about the improprieties at the facility. A doctor without a specialization working at the Warsaw South Hospital served as the Emergency Department coordinator. Last year, working across several facilities, the medic earned 1.6 million PLN, and in the South Hospital alone in 2025, he worked a total of 3,976 hours, averaging 331 hours per month on civil law contracts.<\/p>\n
The doctor was also a district councilor for Ursus representing the Civic Coalition (KO).
