Mateusz Morawiecki announced the establishment of the new club on Wednesday (July 29) at a press conference in the Sejm. “In recent times we have witnessed very strange party games in PiS,” he stated, which “are completely unnecessary,” and “true splitters” want to lead to dealing with “party life, themselves.”<\/p>\n
– We do not want to get into these party wrangles, party games, therefore together with 40 MPs and a senator we decided to set up a parliamentary club and it will be our forum for action, a political forum, because within the Development Plus association we conduct a lot of activities, initiatives of an expert, developmental, think-tank nature, and here we will have a political platform for action – he added.<\/p>\n
Recall that the day before, the PiS Political Committee met. The body approved the list of people who did not submit so-called loyalties, i.e., statements of non-belonging to other associations. The party spokesman informed that the matter will now be handled by the party disciplinary spokesman. Earlier, the PiS leadership warned that people who fail to submit such documents may be expelled.<\/p>\n

Mateusz Morawiecki’s move was evaluated by Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski. In a post on X, he assessed that “what was to be foreseen has happened.” “Until the end, I made attempts at an agreement, unfortunately Mateusz Morawiecki clearly had his own political plan in mind, implemented on the basis of the PiS split,” he wrote. He stated that “the split made by him (Morawiecki – ed.) occurred at the most inappropriate moment from the point of view of Poland and serves those who harm our homeland.”<\/p>\n
“As Law and Justice we do not stop: we have a strategy, we have a program and we look to the future. Tusk’s fatal government must be removed from power. Only a united patriotic camp has a chance for real success. You have to be a patriot in deeds, not in words,” he added.<\/p>\n
“The truth is that intentions count – Mateusz Morawiecki and the group of his closest associates have been pushing for a split for a long time. They questioned our pre-campaign, fomented conflicts, built structures. To lead to a split – such was their plan,” wrote Mariusz B\u0142aszczak, head of the PiS parliamentary club, on X. He stated that in the former prime minister’s association “there is a large group of MPs who are simply being cheated. “They were promised mountains of gold, and they do not know that they are heading straight for an iceberg and simply will not enter the Sejm in the next term.
