– I thought Morawiecki was a man who bet on this party and would stay in it, although he would certainly want to be its leader after me someday, which he didn’t really hide – said Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski on the “TAK” YouTube channel, launched in 2025 by Micha\u0142 Adamczyk, Marcin Tulicki, and Micha\u0142 Karnowski.<\/p>\n
– He had doubts whether he would succeed, but everyone has the right, so of course he also had the right. But the matter began to thicken at a certain point and the first signal was of course this association – stated the PiS leader.<\/p>\n
He added that Morawiecki later spoke directly about wanting a party split. – After various kinds of maneuvers, it really happened that we are dealing with a break – he continued.<\/p>\n
Kaczy\u0144ski also referred to the words of Mateusza Morawiecki, who said on Telewizja Republika that politicians of Rozw\u00f3j Plus were “brutally pushed out,” thereby amputating “one healthy lung of the party.”<\/p>\n
– I do not share this view in the least. They wanted to leave, or at least a great part of them, some joined later. This was not only visible, but simply stated quite directly – stated the PiS leader.<\/p>\n
– Most certainly, this was a decision for some resulting from the conviction that PiS is simply not what they expected, it is not a party that guarantees them a position in the establishment as well, because it is an anti-establishment party. And those who simply decided that they will have a better chance there than with us – he said.<\/p>\n
Kaczy\u0144ski had hoped, however, that Morawiecki was a “hard Polish patriot” and that the split would not happen. – It seemed to me that he, who was once present in this establishment of the Third Polish Republic, simply resigned from it, seeing that this is a place where people with patriotic attitudes and at the same time honest, do not really have much to do. But now I see it is different – he emphasized.<\/p>\n
Kaczy\u0144ski indicated that he most regrets the departure of \u0141ukasz Schreiber. – I knew he would go there, but he is really a valuable person, talented, young, pleasant in manner, cultured. I also know his father, I value him very much, Grzegorz Schreiber. I would prefer him to stay – he said.<\/p>\n
– And the others, well, I rather thought they would leave, although perhaps apart from some little-known MPs, but such classic examples of precisely those who feel threatened not by PiS, but by their relative weakness when it comes to gaining a voice – he added.<\/p>\n
Since Jaros\u0142aw Kaczy\u0144ski announced that members of the Rozw\u00f3j Plus association “resigned from membership” in PiS, the conflict inside the party has been growing. After the split, politicians from both sides started a tour of right-wing media, where they present their own genesis of the conflict, while the leader’s loyalists build a narrative around the former prime minister, who until recently was presented as one of the grouping’s greatest assets.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday (July 28), the split was supposed to be sealed by the PiS Political Committee, but ultimately this did not happen. The party authorities decided not to expel Morawiecki or his supporters from the ranks.<\/p>\n
On the same day, Morawiecki announced the creation of the Rozw\u00f3j Plus parliamentary club. – This will be our forum for action for the future – he added.<\/p>\n
Then he criticized the PiS politicians with whom he remains in dispute. – What the PiS leadership has been announcing for a couple of days has happened, taking two steps forward, one step back, then the other way around. We do not want to get involved in party games, because they serve no one. The real splitters, intriguers, will behave this way all the time. They want to act in such a way that we deal with ourselves.
