United States Central Command has executed a massive wave of airstrikes targeting dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities across Iran, following a direct threat of retaliation from President Donald Trump. <\/p>\n
“CENTCOM forces struck dozens of targets of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran, including command centers, missile and drone facilities, and coastal surveillance systems,” the US Central Command stated late Wednesday into Thursday.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, the strikes aimed to “further reduce threats to US forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries.” The actions were preceded by a warning from President Donald Trump, who stated on Wednesday: “We will hit them very hard because now it’s our turn. They know it’s coming.”<\/p>\n
Iranian media report numerous explosions in the south of the country. On Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, a missile hit a residential building, leaving three people trapped under the rubble and two injured individuals transported to a hospital, alongside power outages on the island.<\/p>\n
