\u201cRadar assets of the country’s air defense system observed the activity of at least a dozen missiles operating over western Ukraine, which, due to their flight direction, could pose a potential threat to Polish airspace.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe closest to the border of the Republic of Poland was one of the objects, which at 3:29 AM approached to a distance of about 5 km, after which it changed its flight direction and headed east.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAt 3:40 AM, an unidentified object moving westward was detected in Polish airspace. To recognize and intercept it, a duty F-16 fighter was directed to the area. At 3:46 AM, before definitive identification, the object vanished from radar system indications. To verify and ultimately confirm the technical indications of radar systems, an Mi-24 helicopter was directed to the area of the object’s last indication. The helicopter crew located the probable crash site of the object in an uninhabited area near the village of Tarnawa-Kolonia in the Lublin Voivodeship. A Ground Search and Rescue Team and appropriate services were sent to the site.
