According to reports by The Guardian, Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) General Alexus G. Grynkewich spoke on Thursday with Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Wies\u0142aw Kuku\u0142a. The discussion focused on NATO and Poland’s response to the incident near the village of Tarnawa-Kolonia. Donald Tusk specified during a press conference that a Russian Kh-101 missile most likely fell there, while SACEUR emphasized that NATO will continue taking all necessary actions to defend the Alliance’s territory.<\/p>\n

Initially, an object closest to the Polish border approached to a distance of about 5 km at 3:29 AM before changing its flight direction and heading east. About 10 minutes later, the military detected another object flying west before it fell. The crew of the helicopter located the probable impact site of the object in an uninhabited area near the town of Tarnawa-Kolonia in the Lublin Voivodeship.<\/p>\n
There is no reason to believe that Poland was the target, but two of these objects violated Polish airspace.
