Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President, Rafa\u0142 Le\u015bkiewicz, announced that the president’s signature has been given to several acts: the amendment to the Water Law; changes to the Labor Code and the Code of Civil Procedure; the amendment to the act on public benefit activity and volunteerism and the act on gambling games; the amendment of regulations concerning public offerings, public companies, and the implementation of certain European Union regulations regarding equal treatment; as well as changes to the Educational Law. The penultimate act will be referred to the Constitutional Tribunal for subsequent review, while the amendment to the Educational Law will enter into force on September 1, 2026.<\/p>\n
Starting from the aforementioned date, students of public and non-public primary schools will not be able to use mobile phones and other devices enabling communication and the recording of sound or image. The ban will apply during lessons, breaks, and other activities taking place at the facility. The restrictions will also cover educational activities organized outside the school, such as physical education classes conducted on external sports facilities.<\/p>\n
It will also be forbidden for children to bring and use electronic devices during their stay at a kindergarten, a school where a preschool ward is organized, and other forms of preschool education, in connection with the implementation of teaching, upbringing, and care activities, as well as during activities organized outside the premises of these facilities.<\/p>\n
There will be exceptions to the ban: when the teacher decides that the device is needed by students for educational activities or knowledge verification, when urgent contact between the student and parents is necessary, or when there is a direct threat to health or life.<\/p>\n
It will also be possible for a student to use an electronic device with the consent of the director if it is justified by illness, disability, or other special needs requiring the use of specialized equipment or a mobile application used to monitor health status.
