A duty rescuer from the Tatra Volunteer Search and Rescue (TOPR) stated that the tourist most likely tripped, slipped, lost balance, and fell from a great height.<\/p>\n

Saturday marked another day with very high tourist traffic in the Tatras amid scorching weather conditions that increase the risk of dehydration and rapid physical exhaustion.<\/p>\n
Rescuers appeal to tourists to check the weather forecast, properly plan their routes, and carry a water supply before heading out into the mountains, noting that conditions in the higher parts of the Tatras can change very rapidly and thunderstorms are forecasted for Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
TOPR rescuers also drew attention to disturbing behaviors associated with the intensified tourist traffic, noting that helicopter rescue operations evoke justified emotions and interest.<\/p>\n
