Part of the retirees and disability pensioners will receive their benefits before the standard deadline. ZUS reminds that when the payment day falls on a Saturday or a non-working day, the money reaches the eligible individuals earlier.<\/p>\n
The Social Insurance Institution processes pension and disability payments according to a fixed schedule, but in some cases these dates change. This applies when the planned transfer date falls on a Saturday or a non-working day, resulting in the transfer or postal order reaching the beneficiary in advance.<\/p>\n
Pensions and disability benefits are transferred by ZUS on several fixed dates of the month: the 1st, 6th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th day of the month. However, if any of these days falls on a Saturday or a non-working day, the payment is made earlier.<\/p>\n
Beneficiaries whose payment date falls on Saturday, August 15, can count on an earlier transfer. ZUS applies the rule of accelerating the payment in such cases so that the money reaches recipients before the day off, meaning retirees will receive their benefit on Friday, August 14.<\/p>\n
ZUS indicated that the average pension paid in December 2025 amounted to 4,235.47 PLN. Since the beginning of 2026, the average value of the pension benefit increased by nearly 250 PLN up to May.<\/p>\n
The highest average pension level in 2026 was recorded in March, amounting to 4,509.64 PLN, while in May the average pension reached 4,480.72 PLN.<\/p>\n
Along with the growing number of beneficiaries and the higher amounts of paid pensions, state expenditures are also increasing. In December 2023, ZUS allocated an average of 21.75 billion PLN monthly for pensions, which rose to 25.07 billion PLN monthly by December 2024.<\/p>\n
The upward trend continued later, with the cost of servicing basic pensions exceeding 27 billion PLN in August 2025 and reaching 27.204 billion PLN in December 2025, bringing ZUS’s total pension transfers to 319.562 billion PLN throughout the entire year of 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
