Polsat News reports that the police received an emergency notification on Thursday, August 5, at around 2:20 PM. At that time, three teenagers were present by the water at Lake Durowskie.<\/p>\n
Junior Warrant Officer Malwina Szumann from the W\u0105growiec County Police Headquarters stated that one of the boys immediately declared he could not swim and would stay on the shore. The other two entered the lake.<\/p>\n
According to Polsat News, one of the teenagers disappeared beneath the water’s surface at one point, and the second went to help him before also beginning to drown. The fire department, medical rescue teams, and an Air Medical Rescue helicopter were called to the scene.<\/p>\n
Junior Captain Piotr Kaczmarek from the W\u0105growiec County State Fire Service reported that two young boys were pulled from the water with the help of a diver, showing no vital signs. Despite resuscitation efforts by emergency services, they could not be saved, and a doctor pronounced them dead at the scene while operations continued in the area.<\/p>\n
Police and firefighters continually remind the public, especially during the summer season, that swimming in unauthorized areas carries real risks, as the lack of a lifeguard means help often arrives too late.
