Soldiers will conduct rehearsals for the Polish Armed Forces Day parade from August 8 to August 9, resulting in major closures of Wis\u0142ostrada, cross streets, bridges, and public transit routes in Warsaw. <\/p>\n
The largest disruptions will begin on Saturday, August 8, at 4:00 PM and last until Sunday, August 9, at 11:00 AM. Wis\u0142ostrada will be closed from Maria Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Bridge to Gagarina Street.<\/p>\n
Drivers will not be able to connect to Wis\u0142ostrada from the Route AK and Stefan Rowecki “Grot” Bridge, “Solidarno\u015b\u0107” Avenue and the Silesian-D\u0105browski Bridge, and Poniatowski Bridge. From Czerniakowska Street on the Mokot\u00f3w side, vehicles can only travel onto the \u0141azienkowska Route toward the center or onto the \u0141azienkowski Bridge. Police officers will direct traffic at selected intersections.<\/p>\n
Starting at 4:00 PM on Saturday, both roadways of Wis\u0142ostrada will close from Maria Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Bridge to \u0141azienkowski Bridge, alongside the Wilan\u00f3w-bound roadway from \u0141azienkowski Bridge to Gagarina Street. Drivers will also be barred from Pu\u0142kowa Street between W\u00f3ycickiego and Maria Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Bridge, with closures shifting to Herold\u00f3w at 7:30 PM and traffic redirected to Marymoncka.<\/p>\n
Numerous intersecting streets will be closed to traffic, including sections of Gwia\u017adzista, Krasi\u0144skiego, Krajewskiego, Zakroczymska, Jeziora\u0144skiego, Wened\u00f3w, Sanguszki, Mostowa, Bole\u015b\u0107, Grodzka, Nowy Zjazd, Bednarska, Karowa, Lipowa, Dobra, Wi\u015blana, G\u0119sta, Wybrze\u017ce Ko\u015bciuszkowskie, Zaj\u0119cza, Tamka, Ludna, Wilanowska, G\u00f3rno\u015bl\u0105ska, \u0141azienkowska, Szwole\u017cer\u00f3w, 29 Listopada, Suligowskiego, Nowosielecka, and Ho\u0142\u00f3wki.<\/p>\n
An additional parking ban will be in effect from Saturday at 10:00 PM to Sunday at 11:00 AM on Krajewskiego, Zakroczymska, Jeziora\u0144skiego, Wened\u00f3w, Sanguszki, Karowa, Lipowa, Dobra, Wi\u015blana, G\u0119sta, Wybrze\u017ce Ko\u015bciuszkowskie, and the parking lot under the Silesian-D\u0105browski Bridge.<\/p>\n
The primary detour is routed via Modli\u0144ska and Jagiello\u0144ska streets, followed by Wybrze\u017ce Helskie, Wybrze\u017ce Szczeci\u0144skie, and Wa\u0142 Miedzeszy\u0144ski. Drivers coming from \u0141omianki will be directed to Marymoncka Street, with further detours through S\u0142owackiego, Mickiewicza, Andersa, and Marsza\u0142kowska streets.<\/p>\n
An aircraft flight rehearsal is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, during which traffic on the Gda\u0144ski Bridge, Silesian-D\u0105browski Bridge, and Magdalena Abakanowicz Footbridge will be entirely halted. If weather conditions prevent the rehearsal, the flight will be postponed to Sunday, August 9, at the same times.<\/p>\n
Cyclists will not be able to use the bike lanes along Wis\u0142ostrada from Krasi\u0144skiego Street to the Silesian-D\u0105browski Bridge. Crossing to the other side of Wis\u0142ostrada will be blocked at Krasi\u0144skiego, Wened\u00f3w, Ludna, and \u0141azienkowska, and the underground passage near Sanguszki Street will be closed. On Sunday morning, pedestrians and cyclists cannot use the Gda\u0144ski Bridge.<\/p>\n
Bus stops at Most Gda\u0144ski 53 and 54 as well as Wybrze\u017ce Helskie 01 and 02 will be suspended, with buses crossing the bridge without stopping. On Saturday between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM, buses will bypass Gda\u0144ski and Silesian-D\u0105browski bridges, affecting lines 100, 190, 409, 500, and Z-5 with redirected routes.<\/p>\n
Tram track closures on the Silesian-D\u0105browski Bridge will alter tram routes. On the Praga side, lines 1 and 76 will run to Ratuszowa-Zoo loop, lines 4, 18, and 20 will go to Dworzec Wschodni, and lines 6 and 28 will travel via Starzy\u0144skiego and 11 Listopada streets. On the left bank of the Vistula, lines 1 and 20 will run to Piaski loop, lines 4, 18, and T will use Andersa and Mickiewicza streets to Marymont-Potok loop, line 6 will turn at Polonia stadium, line 28 will travel via Okopowa, “Solidarno\u015b\u0107” Avenue, and Jana Paw\u0142 II Avenue, and line 76 will use Andersa and Stawki streets to Muranowska stop.<\/p>\n
Following the Wis\u0142ostrada closure at 4:00 PM, routes will change for daytime bus lines 100, 106, 107, 108, 114, 118, 127, 131, 141, 159, 162, 166, 167, 171, 185, 187, and night lines N14, N16, N33, N64, and N83.<\/p>\n
Bleachers and media stands are currently being installed near the Multimedia Fountain Park.
