During a Thursday PiS convention, Tobiasz Boche\u0144ski announced that one of the first decisions of a Law and Justice government\u2014if the party won the election\u2014would be the deportation of draft-age Ukrainians who do not work legally in Poland.<\/p>\n
In a Friday interview with Radio ZET, Marcin Hora\u0142a admitted that this postulate filled him with absolute amazement. He asked directly why deport illegal migrants from Bangladesh, Congo, or Ghana instead of focusing purely on the illegality of stay rather than nationality.<\/p>\n
Hora\u0142a assessed the PiS idea as paradoxically beneficial for Ukraine and disadvantageous for Poland. He argued that Ukrainians are a culturally close group ready to immediately boost the Polish labor market, making the expulsion of someone temporarily out of work worse than letting a migrant from a completely different cultural circle take the place. He added that fulfilling such a demand serves to root anti-Ukrainian emotion for purely political electoral mobilization.<\/p>\n
